Five worthy Elvis biographies

January 8, 2011, marked the 76th birthday of Elvis Presley. To honor the occasion at the Christian Science Monitor, Daisy Alioto named five worthy Elvis biographies, including:

"The Girl's Guide to Elvis: The Clothes,The Hair, The Women, and More!" by Kim Adelman (Boadway, 224 pp.) is exactly what its title suggests. Adelman presents the kind of swoon-worthy facts hoped for by those who view Elvis as a heartthrob, but also includes enough rare photographs and kitschy facts to interest those who don't.
