John Nadler's most recent book is A Perfect Hell: The True Story of the Black Devils, the Forefathers of the Special Forces.I asked him who he would cast in the movie or miniseries version of the book. Here's part of his answer:
My book is based on the WWII exploits of the Black Devils, a legendary commando outfit. An earlier popular history of this unit was The Devil's Brigade, which became a classic 1960s war movie starring William Holden and Cliff Robertson.Read on.
Both men were class acts, utterly irreplaceable. But whom would I pick for a 2007 re-make?
