Twenty of the best books by women in 2015

One of the twenty best books by women in 2015, as shared at Good Housekeeping:
Early One Morning, by Virginia Baily

In the midst of WWII, Chiara Ravello is prepared to flee Rome. However, when she locks eyes with a woman and her son getting herded on a truck, Chiara makes the rash decision to save her son. Moments later panic ensues — she is only in her twenties, her sister requires constant care and she is about to embark on a dangerous journey. Several decades later she is haunted by how the boy wreaked havoc on her life, and when a girl calls her claiming to be his daughter she knows it's time to face the past.

Why we love it: It's an incredible story about one woman's decision to save a child. Utterly breathtaking.
