Lisa Genova's 6 favorite books about science & literature

Neuroscientist Lisa Genova is the author of the best-selling novels Still Alice and Left Neglected.

One of her six favorite books about science and literature, as told to The Week magazine:
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly by Jean-Dominique Bauby

Bauby wrote this memoir one painstaking blink at a time after a massive brain-stem stroke left him completely paralyzed but for his left eye. His body a prison, his mind nonetheless remained sharply intact. Stunning and eloquent, Bauby’s words still haunt me.
Read about another book on the list.
