The best of chick-lit

Christina Koning, a fiction reviewer for the London Times, named the six best chick-lit books.

The top two titles might well appear on an American list:

1 Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen
Smouldering love-god cold-shoulders smart cookie at village hop; then realises his mistake.

2 Bridget Jones's Diary, Helen Fielding
Ditzy singleton searches for Mr Right, but gets entangled with sexy heartbreaker along the way.

The other four books are almost certainly more familiar to a U.K. readership.
