Wine books: the ten best

Williamson Moore named the ten best wine books for The Independent (U.K.).

A couple of titles by or about wine experts made the list:
A Life Uncorked by Hugh Johnson

The autobiography of one of the most poetic and erudite of wine commentators of the past five decades is an interesting read. Johnson is the world's best-selling writer on wine.

The Emperor of Wine by Elin McCoy

An absorbing warts 'n' all biography of Robert Parker, the world's most influential wine figure. Hugh Johnson called him a "dictator of taste." Read both books and decide if that's fair.
See which title topped the list.
