Some time ago members of the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association's online discussion group tried to come up with the 100 favorite mysteries of the 20th century. They spent nearly two months considering and debating hundreds of titles recommended by mystery booksellers throughout the country.
Click here to see what they came up with.
(To spread the recognition and allow more titles to make the list, they chose only one book per author.)
My first reaction was one of dismay: I've read only about a quarter of the titles listed.
But there's a sunny side to that fact: I now have a handy list of about seventy-five novels to work on.
