Ten top books set on the ocean

Janis MacKay won the Scottish children's book award's younger readers' prize with her novel The Accidental Time Traveller. She named her top ten books set on the ocean for the Guardian, including:
Life of Pi by Yann Martel

The ultimate adventure set on the high seas, Life of Pi has to be read to be believed (or disbelieved). Featuring shipwrecks, cannibalism, carnivorous plants and a 450-pound Bengal tiger, this story holds the reader in its grip from beginning to end.
