Guy Browning's top 10 Christmas books

Guy Browning, perhaps more famous in the U.K. than in America, once named his Top 10 Christmas books for the Guardian.

At the top of his list:
How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss

A moving and heart-warming tale of one Grinch's effort to ruin Christmas for everybody and how, in the process, he discovers its true meaning.
And my favorite:
The Santaland Diaries by David Sedaris

A one-man comic play recounting the author's experiences as a Christmas elf at Macy's department store. Not for children. Or elves.
American readers will know this play from Sedaris' Barrel Fever or NPR.

Guy Browning is the author of Never Hit a Jellyfish With a Spade: How to Survive Life's Smaller Challenges and other books.
