Steven Pearlstein's six book recommendations

Steven Pearlstein is a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the Washington Post and the Robinson Professor of Public Affairs at George Mason University. His new book is Can American Capitalism Survive?: Why Greed Is Not Good, Opportunity Is Not Equal, and Fairness Won't Make Us Poor.

One of six books Pearlstein recommended at The Week magazine:
Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis by Robert D. Putnam (2015).

The Harvard professor who wrote Bowling Alone here weaves tales of his hometown, Port Clinton, Ohio, with the latest economic and social science data to demonstrate how rising income inequality is eroding the American Dream.
