ANIMAL FARM
by George Orwell

You don't have to be a student of the Russian Revolution to enjoy this book which is a satire on the Soviet Union.

Everything is initially fine when there is a revolution on the farm but then the pigs get out of hand. A fine illustration of how the pursuit of power corrupts.
