The best of Philip Roth

Coinciding with the release of Philip Roth's latest novel Exit Ghost, London Times literary editor Erica Wagner named "the best of Philip Roth" for her newspaper.

One title to make the list, albeit a little lower than I would have ranked it:

American Pastoral (1997)

Zuckerman recounts the seemingly idyllic life of Seymour “Swede” Levov; a shattering of complacency.
