In writing The Resurrectionist, a young adult gothic horror reimagining of Frankenstein, I didn’t think of actors who might play the characters but I did imagine Guillermo del Toro as the director. I’m a big fan of his movies, and I’m looking forward to seeing his adaptation of Frankenstein coming out October 17th in theaters and streaming on Netflix on November 7th (my birthday!). I’ve seen most of his films, The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, and Crimson Peak to name a few.
