When I was 11 I wanted to go to Sunday school because all the boys I fancied went and I asked my dad, a physicist, if he believed in God. He said, “No, aliens everywhere.” It piqued my interest in a futuristic ideal. Asimov created a world where robots are an integral part of society. Sunday school was dead in the water.
